It is everywhere, brought to us by information overload, time crunches, work demands, recession worries, politics, heavy traffic, background urban noise, electromagnetic pollution, nearly poisoned water, GMO and estrogen-infested food, and what not. You can’t avoid it unless you retire into a desert, and even then…
The normal, preprogrammed reaction of our body to any stress is a “Fight-or-Flight” Response, or quick and strong activation of a Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS). This potentially life-saving mechanism, however, becomes detrimental to our health if dominates for too long suppressing the balancing and regenerative “Relaxation Response” in which the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) dominates.
The generated by the “Fight-or-Flight” Response energy that supposed to give strength to our hearts, lungs, and muscles in order to avoid potential dangers (stressors) remains unused and accumulates mostly in our head, neck, and shoulders, where it stays for a pretty long time robbing the rest of our body. With time, chronic stress causes or complicates most of the disorders known to mankind.
Luckily we in the SCENAR world have a way to battle chronic stress better and faster than anyone else. We have the tools!
